The pashmina wool comes from the undercoat of the Himalayan goat Changthangi or Pashmina goat which is found in Ladakh, Nepal and Tibet only. 

It is because of the natural shedding process that occur in response to the extreme cold temperature. The collection of the pashmina is very gentle process and ensures no goat is harmed during the collection process.

Its after a thorough process of collection, cleaning, spinning, weaving, and embroidering a pashmina scarf gets ready.

Making of each piece requires unique skills and is a very labour job. It takes around one month of nine months to craft each pashmina scarf depending on the type and amount of embroidery done on each scarf.

The size of authentic pashmina scarf is 70*200 centimetres the size may slightly vary by few centimetres if the scarf has embroidery all across it.
